The highly anticipated follow up to the USA Today Best Selling book, The Perfect Game by J. Sterling- Coming 2013 (Release Date To Be Announced Soon!)

For those of you who have read J. Sterling’s “The Perfect Game” and have not yet had their fill of Jack Carter, fear not because there is more Jack to go around! I am thrilled to be participating in this cover reveal and must say it does make me want this book to come out NOW!

Let me start by saying how much I LOVED “The Perfect Game” – my rating is an easy 5 stars!! This book had everything I crave in a good book: hot bad boy (who just so happens to be a damn good baseball player), great story that keeps you on your toes and fabulous writing.

the perfect game

First off, I really liked Cassie because she was sassy and confident. She might have been attracted to Jack from the get go, but she knew his reputation and refused to become just another notch on his belt. She has had her fair share of disappointment in her life already and she wasn’t going to let some hot shot baseball player add to it. She made Jack work for her by making him pay 50 cents every time he wanted to touch her and always challenging him to “prove it.” I think I liked Cassie even more towards the end of the book, when she tried to fight for what she wanted despite Jack refusing to listen to reason.

Now let’s move on to Jack. Jack Carter. Even the name is great. It is a name like Kellen Kyle (Thoughtless series) or Travis Maddox (Beautiful Disaster). It just screams hotness and trouble. But, just like Cassie, I think everyone who reads this book falls victim to Jack’s charm and understands why Cassie loves him. And he goes and makes a total ass of himself and does something stupid and horrible. Sigh. Okay, I’m going to admit something here. I shed a tear or two during the last half of the book after Jack’s stupid act came back to bite him in the ass (and I swear I am NOT a crier). It was just horrible.

Okay now this takes me to Ms. Sterling. Oh how awesome you and your story telling ways are. First off, one of my favorite things about this book was that you were reading Jack’s POV while he did what he did (sorry for those that haven’t read this yet I don’t want to spoil it but you’ll know what I mean). It was like a bad car accident that you saw play out in slow motion. You knew what was going to happen and you just kept screaming “NOOOOO” but it didn’t work. The fact that we were in his head made it that much worse (but made the story that much better – ironic huh?). It really made you feel all the emotions both characters were feeling and almost made you a part of the book. Another thing I loved about this book was that it was unpredictable – you didn’t know what was going to happen. Just when you thought there would be some sort of intervention at the last minute, nope didn’t happen. It made the ending that much better.

This is one of the few books that I became really passionate about – embarrassing as it is, it is the truth. I really LOVED this book and would not change a thing. Not. One. Thing. So when I heard that Ms. Sterling was going to write a sequel, on one hand I was over the moon that I’d get more Jack Carter, but on the other hand, knew that the story was going to take me on another roller coaster ride. But, I’m ready to strap in, so release the book already!!!
